Hazel Ann Moore was born February 8, 1942 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Francis Lawson. She passed away October 16, 2016 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 8 days.
Hazel grew up in Bristow, Oklahoma and California before moving to Strong City, Oklahoma at the age of 13 to work on the Wickham Ranch and attend schools. Later she was married to Johnny Wayne Moore at Sayre, Oklahoma on November 6, 1963. To this union two daughters were born: Cindy Lynn and Rena Gene. While John served in the United States armed forces Hazel and her girls moved to different military bases following John to Mississippi and Texas. In 1975-76 they moved back to Cheyenne to make their home. Throughout Hazel's life she worked in restaurants and various jobs to make sure her family was well taken care of. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, crafts, spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, one grandson, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Yowell and husband, Kevin, Reydon, OK; 3 grandsons, Robert Mabra and wife, Miriam, Cheyenne, OK, Harrison Johnson and wife, Krystal, Wister, OK and Austin Johnson, Wister, OK; 4 great grandchildren, Braxton and Lexis Johnson and Valerie and Emerie Mabra and a host of other relatives and friends.
