Peggy Fern Coker was born August 8, 1935 in Lubbock, Texas to Edna and Henry Averett.
She passed away February 13, 2000 in Roger Mills Memorial Hospital at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 5 days.
Peggy grew up in Lubbock, Texas where she graduated from high school.
She married Deryl L. Coker in Clovis, New Mexico on January 22, 1954.
They lived in Levelland and Farewell, Texas before moving to the Cheyenne community in 1964 to make their home.
She was a member of the Cheyenne First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, and one sister, Shirley Walters.
She is survived by her husband, Deryl of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and L. G. Alig of Okarche, Oklahoma; two sons and daughters-in-law, Doyle and Marcia Coker of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Dewayne and Dayna Coker of Reydon, Oklahoma; one brother, Roland Averett of Healdton, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Julie and Matt Coker, Jennifer and Jeremiah Alig; and Brian and Kassie Coker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Interment in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
