Cheryl Lea Burns Castor was born July 19, 1949 at Elk City, Oklahoma to Billie and Erma Lea Barker Burns.
She passed away February 19, 2003 in Sayre Memorial Hospital, Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 53 years and 7 months.
She graduated from Cheyenne High School and had been a lifelong resident of Cheyenne.
She attended College at Midwest City and received her LPN degree in the early nineteen seventies.
She was preceded in death by her father; a grandson, Cayson Castor; both grandfathers; and one grandmother.
Services were held Saturday, February 22, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Cheyenne First United Methodist Church, officiated by Andy Taylor and assisted by Stanley Lamb.
Burial was held at the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
Survivors include her daughter, Shellea Fatzer and husband Steve of Luther, Oklahoma; son, Shane Castor and wife Tina of Mustang, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Kalah Castor and Shaedon Castor of Mustang, Oklahoma; Rebekah Fatzer and Ralea Fatzer of Luther, Oklahoma; mother, Erma Lee Burns of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; grandmother, Dora Barker of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; two brothers, Billy Earle Burns of Del Norte, Colorado; Doran Burns of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Honorary casket bearers were Brandt Burns, Gale Barker, Greg Barker, Jack Brown, James Burns and Michael Roy Barker. Casket bearers were Loyd Ormand, Rex McAlary, Rocky Moore, Dr. Carl Manske, Eddie Tom Lake and J. W. Little.
