Airleen Pope Anderson was born February 11, 1939 in Sayre, Oklahoma, the daughter of Stacy Genevieve Cotton and Bennie Ernest Pope.She passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 11 months and 27 days.Airleen grew up in the Sweetwater community where she attended and graduated from high school in 1958. She attended Blackwell School of Nursing and later worked at the Community Hospital in Elk City, Oklahoma and Sayre Memorial Hospital, Sayre, Oklahoma.She met and married Bob Oldham in May of 1961. To this union two children were born.She was later married to Don Anderson at Minot, North Dakota. After one year she moved back to Oklahoma where she has made her home since.Airleen has lived in San Antonio, Texas; Seattle, Washington; and North Dakota.She was as a dietary supervisor and home health care nurse for a number of years until her retirement.Airleen enjoyed cooking and being around her family and grandchildren.She was also a member of the Grandview Assembly of God Church.She was preceded in death by her parents.She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Weirich and husband, Stan of Harker Heights, Texas; one son, Mark Oldham of Wylie, Texas; three sisters, Mary Pope of Weatherford, Oklahoma; Bobbie Birdwell and husband, Vernon of Yukon, Oklahoma; Bonnie Stone and husband, Elmer of Sayre, Oklahoma; two brothers, Glen Pope and wife, Sharlene of Weatherford, Oklahoma; Billy Pope and wife, Mary Louise of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Deanna, Adam, Sarah and Matthew; one great granddaughter, Isabella; and a host of other relatives and friends.Graveside services will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service.
