Benjamin Harrison "Harry" Guy, the son of A. W. and Isabel Guy, was born in
Dumas, Missouri April 22, 1891. He departed this earth on July 30, 1958, at the
age of 67 years, 3 months and 8 days.
He was united in marriage to Linnie Bright, March 17, 1922 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
To this union three sons were born, Leroy, Bert and Charles.
Mr. Guy came with his parents to Leedey, Oklahoma in 1906 and resided there until
1916 and then moved to the Grimes community.
In 1948 he moved to the Berlin
community where he was residing at the time of his death.
He served in World War I and had one year of active duty overseas, being in
the 45th Infantry Regiment of the 90th Division.
He was a member of the American
Legion of Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
Harry was a man who enjoyed life and had a keen interest in his friends and the
world about him. He lived by the Golden Rule and his way of life was "do unto
others as you would have them do unto you".
He had many talents and
characteristics that made him a very useful citizen.
He was a firm beliver in God.
Harry will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Linnie of the home address; three sons, Leroy of
Delhi; Bert and Charles of Pampa, Texas; ten grandchildren and one brother,
H. A. Guy of Grimes, Oklahoma; as well as nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and seven brothers.
Burial Berlin cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
