Funeral services for Martha Patterson Bright, Berlin, who died suddenly at her
home Wednesday, December 20, 1962 were held at the Berlin
school auditorium Satuday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Pete Eliott and
Rev. Elbert Johnston officiating.
Born September 15, 1852 at Decatur, Texas, Mrs. Bright came to the
county in 1897 and had resided in the Berlin community since then.
She was married to Bert L. Bright at Cheyenne September 4, 1898.
She
was a member of the Berlin Methodist church, Methodist WSCS, Berline
HDC and Crochet club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and one
sister.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Linnie Guy of Berlin; Mrs. Blossie
Barber of Oklahoma City; one son, Lacy of Wichita, Kansas; five
grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; and one brother, Martin
Patterson of Sayre.
Committal was in the Berlin cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County,
Oklahoma with the Moore Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
