Bobby Lee Weatherford passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on Saturday, December 31, 2016, in McAlester, Oklahoma.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Otho Lonzo and Minnie Lee Weatherford and is survived by his wife of 66 years Mary Wanda Lee (Jameson) Weatherford.

Bobby and Wanda had a full house of five daughters. Mary Lee Garrison of Tuskahoma who preceded him in death, Angela Kay Breshears of Tuskahoma, Judy Cox of Tahlequah, Janette Simpson of Tuskahoma and Tina Holder of McAlester.

These girls provided him with the apples of his eyes, 15 grand-kids. Shelly, Robby, Daniel, Amanda, Tonia, Christy, Shalynn, Jamie, Cassie, Lindsay, Sean, Kylee, Zach, Hunter and Jordan. Those kids provided him with 21 more great-grand childern so far, including one on the way and 1 great-great-grand child. Each was his favorite and the prettiest, smartest baby he'd every seen.

He also had several sons-in-law who he loved to spend time with, tease and most of all pass on his vast knowlege and experience.

Bobby was born in Okmulgee on May 21, 1932 and spent most of his childhood in Mellette Oklahoma close to Eufaula before moving to Clayton in 1948. He was 18 when he married his then 16 year old sweetheart Wanda on July 14, 1950. He will be remembered as a smart fella, witty and funny, who loved his family more than anything. He worked hard his whole life from picking cotton, concrete mixing, construction, logging in California, running a business, working at the ammunition plant in McAlester and of course his favorite, being a cattle rancher. He always had stories to tell and retell, some taller than others, mostly to his buddies down at the tire shop. Usually with a twinkle in his blue eyes and frequently ready to pull a gag on someone, but always with a smile and a helping hand for those in need. He will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers: Sam Roberts, James Kennedy, Guy Richison, Nathan Harper, Dennis Heflin, Eddie McIntosh.

Honorary Pallbearers: Bill Simpson, Raymond Hutchinson, Robert Lennon, Chic Koopman, Bob Holt, Buck Jones, Chester Dennis.

Services will be held 2:00pm Thursday 5, 2017 at the First Baptist Church with Gary Fuller and Ruth Deskin Officiating. Interment will follow at the Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service of Clayton.
