Kathryn Irene (Prince) Kirkes passed from this life on Tuesday, February 14th, 2017 at the age of 92. Kathryn was born August 18th, 1924 to Homer and Beulah (Henry) Prince in Sardis, Oklahoma.
Kathryn loved gardening, she enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and college football, OSU was her team. She loved to cook for her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Homer and Beulah Prince; her husband Grady D. Kirkes; two Infant daughters; two brothers Ernest Prince and D.F. Prince.
Kathryn is survived by her children Gerald Kirkes & wife Carrie of Yanush, Oklahoma, Shirley (Kirkes) Elliott & husband Glen of Perry, Oklahoma, Don Kirkes & wife Pam of Yanush, Oklahoma and Grady Kirkes of Yanush, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren Grady J. Kirkes of Boulder, Colorado, Vince Kirkes & wife Tara of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shannon Standefer and wife Kim of Norman, Oklahoma, Casey Kirkes & wife Heather of Norman, Oklahoma, Ben Kirkes of Bison, Oklahoma, Gavin Elliott of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Amara Kirkes of Yanush, Oklahoma Ashley Edmondson & Cole Dickinson of Vermejo Park Ranch, New Mexico; nine great grandchildren Chloe & Clay Treannie, Sawyer, Allie & Aslyn Standefer, Bodee & Kinley Kirkes, Reid and Noah Kirkes; one brother Richard Prince of Palestine, Texas; Numerous brother in laws, sisters in law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: Grady Kirkes, Vince Kirkes, Shannon Standefer, Casey Kirkes, Ben Kirkes and Gavin Elliott.
Service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Sardis Community Building with Michael Kennedy officiating.Interment will follow at the Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service of Clayton.
