William “Hubert” Arms was born to Henry & Bernetta (Shockey) Arms April 14, 1924 in Witt Springs, Arkansas.He passed from
this life February 8, 2008 in Antlers, Oklahoma at the age of
83.
As a young man, Hubert worked in the cotton fields and harvested
fruit in Florida, later he worked in the timber industry in
Oklahoma and in California. One of his favorite things in life
was taking care of his family & baby-sitting his grandchildren.
Hubert was preceded in death by his parents: Henry & Bernetta
Arms and a daughter: Betty Tarantino.
He is survived by his wife: Irma Arms of the home; 5 sons:
Robert Arms of Oklahoma City, Billy Arms of Florida, Jimmy Arms
of Harrah, Oklahoma, Ronnie Arms of Antlers, Oklahoma and Gary
Arms of Georgia; 2 step-sons: Larry Manus of California and
Kenneth Manus of Washington; 4 daughters: Clara Jane Paige of
Oklahoma City, Julia Ann Arms of Oklahoma City, Brenda Arms of
Jones, Oklahoma and Polly Hupp of Lawton, Oklahoma; 2
step-daughters: Lois Jean Cabe of Arkansas and Velina Manus of
California; 2 brothers: Lawrence and Albert Arms both of
California; 2 sisters: Gladys Shannon of California and Nellie
Norris of California as well as numerous grandchildren, great
grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and other relatives and
good friends.
Hubert was a loving Husband, Father, Son, Uncle, Grandpa &
Friend, and will be missed by all who knew & loved him.
