R C "Frankie" Bell
R. C. Bell was born April 8, 1928 in Stanley, Oklahoma to Wesley
Bell Sr. and Elizabeth (Haws). He passed from this life December 13,
2012 in Antlers, Oklahoma, at the age of 84.
R. C. married Hedwig Mayer on April 3, 1956 in Germany. He was in
the United States Army from 1945 until 1976. R. C. served during
Korea and obtained the rank of Sergeant First Class, and was a Tank
Commander. He loved hunting, fishing and was involved in the fur
business. R. C. also owned The Bait Shop. He was also a member of the
VFW. R. C. had been a resident of the area since 1968.
R. C. was preceded in death by his parents: Wesley and Elizabeth
Bell; son-in-law: Johnny Long; brother: Buster Bell.
He is survived by his wife: Heidi Bell of Antlers, Oklahoma; one
daughter: Doris Long and husband Randall Pruitt of Antlers,
Oklahoma; two brothers: Wesley Bell Jr. and wife Delores of Antlers,
Oklahoma, Billy Bell and wife Joyce of Antlers, Oklahoma; three
sisters: Jackie Messer and husband L. C. of San Angelo, Texas,
Christine Messer of California, Joan Bonner and husband Roy of
Moore, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Michaela Long Correia and husband
Filipe of Frisco, Texas, Shaun Long of Antlers, Oklahoma; two
great-grandchildren: Jaiden and Jakob Correia of Frisco, Texas, as
well as many other relatives and friends.
