Hedwig "Heidi" (Mayer) Bell
Heidi Bell, 78, of Antlers passed from this life June 30, 2015 at
her home while in the presence of her family. She was born September
17th, 1936 in Ulm, Germany to Ernst and Emma (Wasner) Mayer.
Heidi met R. C. Bell in Germany while he was stationed there during
his time in the military. They were married April 3 1956 in Ulm,
Germany and eventually they returned to Antlers where R.C. was from.
Heidi was extremely energetic and a very hard worker, she was very
social and easy to get along with. She was a very loving person who
would do anything for someone in need and spent a lot of her time
helping those who didn't have anyone else to see that they were
taken care of.
Heidi is preceded in death by her parents, Ernst & Emma Mayer, her
husband of 56 years, R. C. Bell, brother, Eric Mayer and son-in-law,
Johnny Long.
She leaves behind one daughter, Doris Long and her husband Randall
Pruitt of Antlers, grandchildren, Michaela and Filipe Correia of
Frisco, Texas, and Shaun Long of Antlers, Great grandchildren,
Jaiden and Jakob Correia as well as numerous other relatives and a
host of friends.
Pallbearers for the service include: Filipe Correia, Michael Riser,
John Bell, Gary Bell, Tommy Berkey and Melvin Luginbill.
Family Night will be held 6-8 pm Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Burkhart
Funeral Service of Antlers.
Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Burkhart
Funeral Service of Antlers with Brent Franks officiating.
Interment will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery in Antlers under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service of Antlers.
