FRANK LOCKE BURIED HERE ON TUESDAY

Member of Pioneer Family of Indian Territory Rests In Locke Cemetery 

Frank Locke, 38, son of E. S. Locke and a member of one of the pioneer families of Indian Territory, died at his home in Antlers early Monday morning [Nov 20] at 2:15 o’clock, and was laid to rest in the Locke Cemetery at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon with Reverend Johnson Bobb of Hugo in charge of funeral services. Death followed an attack of heart ailment on Saturday.

His father, Elisha S. Locke, came to this section about the year 1875 from Tennessee and was married to Janey Davenport, nee Hampton, about 1894.

Frank was born on February 8, 1896 at Finley, and was reared near Antlers. He was married to Grace Wagner in 1916, and to this union three daughters were born: Fairy, Goldie and Lola Grace.

For the past several years, Mr. Locke had been engaged in stock raising and public works.

Besides his family he leaves two brothers, Jesse and Archie Locke; one sister, Bertie Locke; a half-sister, Susan Locke, all of Hugo, and a host of friends.
