Betty Louise Young, 79, passed from this life April 14, 2018 peacefully at her home in Antlers, Oklahoma.
She was born October 31, 1938 in Damon, Oklahoma to Thomas B. and Iva Bell (Fite) Harris. Betty married Donald H. Young on December 31,1957 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Betty worked at Tinker Air Force Base as an electronic technician for several years until her retirement. She was a faithful member of the Antlers Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and crocheting. Betty was a member of the Pushmataha County Quilting Guild- Women’s Aglow.
Betty is preceded in death by her mother: Iva Harris; father: Thomas B. Harris; and husband: Donald H. Young.
She is survived by her son: Leroy Young of Antlers, Oklahoma; daughter: Donna Knight and husband Tom of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren: Justin Young, Jason Young, and Madison Knight; numerous great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and a host of friends.
Betty's funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday April 18, 2018 at the Antlers Assembly of God Church with interment following at Finley Cemetery.
Viewing will be held 9am to 8pm Tuesday at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in memory of Betty to the Pushmataha Quilter's Guild, Joann Brown 502 NE 5th, Antlers OK 74523.
