Carolyn Blankenship, 72, passed from this life peacefully at her home October 31, 2017 in Antlers, Oklahoma. She was born October 23, 1945 to Harvey Ray and Lorraine (Lee) Wells in Abilene, Texas.

Carolyn worked at many places and worked as a cook, waitress, microfilming for a medical firm in Dallas and worked at the V.F.W., where she enjoyed visiting with everyone. Carolyn liked to dance, play bingo, go to the casino and spend quality time with all of her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Jackie Blankenship; her parents: Harvey and Lorraine Wells; daughter: Heather McBride Bridges; sister: Linda Lee Walls; 2 great nephews: Dakota Ray Light and James Thomas Martin.

Carolyn is survived by her children: Carolyn Hawley-Knighton and husband Robert of Antlers, Ricky Parham of Dallas, Texas, Amber Blankenship of Antlers, Rick and Melinda Blankenship of Sayre, Oklahoma; brother: Donald Ray Wells; grandchildren: Kyle Wayne McBride, Roudey Lee McBride, Tuff Chance Maynard, Grace Ann Parham, Elizabeth Shannon Parham; great grandchildren: Jazmine Bridges, Donovan Bridges; nieces and nephews: Johnny and Cendy Martin, Thomas Davis and Wally Light; along with other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday November 7, 2017 at the Family Christian Worship Center, 2 miles east on Ethel Road. Pastor Billy Hunter will be officiating.

Interment will be at Finley Cemetery in Finley, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be David Bridges, Mark Allman, John Muller, John Teafatiller, Chuck Maynard, Brandon Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle McBride, Roudey McBride, Robert Knighton, Thomas Davis, Johnny Martin and Wally Light.
