Dorthy Jean Barnett was born June 11, 1933 in Finley, Oklahoma to Elmer and Alice Pollard. She passed from this life September 15, 2009 in Antlers, Oklahoma, at the age of 76. 

Dorthy had lived in the Antlers area for the past 47 years. She enjoyed growing flowers, especially Roses and Gladiolas, and she loved spending time with family and friends. 

Dorthy is preceded in death by her parents: Elmer & Alice Pollard; three brothers; and two sisters. 

She is survived by her husband of 58 years: Thomas Barnett of Antlers; two children: Thomas Darrell Barnett & wife Shelly of Snow, Oklahoma, and Mary Kay Sanders of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Kristy Russell & husband Joe of Nashoba, Oklahoma, Shana Arnold & husband Daniel of Hartshorne, Oklahoma, and Layla Barnett of Texas; great grandchildren: Kaylin Russell, Amancha Russell, & Shaylin Arnold; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Graveside Service: 10:00 AM Friday, September 18, 2009 ~ Finley Cemetery
