Roger Leon Alexander was born January 1, 1951 in Martinez, California to Russell and Mary (Pace) Alexander. He passed from this life August 27, 2010 in Antlers, Oklahoma, at the age of 59.
Roger married Linda Lou Henderson on December 23, 1977 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Antlers, Oklahoma. Together they raised four children. Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting with friends and family. He loved his grandkids and he never met a stranger. Roger enjoyed helping loggers fix their trucks and his cb handle was Blackbird.
Roger was preceded in death by his father: Russell Alexander; one grandchild; paternal grandparents: Henry & Beulah Alexander; maternal grandparents: Henry & Jessie Pace.
He is survived by his wife Linda Alexander of Antlers, Oklahoma; mother: Mary Alexander of Antlers, Oklahoma; four children: Bessie Bailey of DeQeen, Arkansas, Nina Bailey of DeQueen, Arkansas, Elvie Allen of DeQueen, Arkansas, and Carla Amend of Soper, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; one great grandson; one great grandaughter; three brothers: Rickey Alexander & wife Micky of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Steve Alexander & wife Marilyn of Antlers, Oklahoma, and Gary Wayne Alexander of San Adreas, California; two sisters: Jacque Compton & husband Bob of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Ginger Johnson & husband Jesse of Antlers, Oklahoma; numerous nieces & nephews; as well as many other relatives and bundles of friends.
In Lieu of Flowers the family asks that donations be made to OK Medical Research or Finley Cemetery Fund in care of Don Helm Box 64 Finley, Oklahoma.
