Jack Eden was born to Charles Asa & Rebecca Jane (Shawheart) Eden on January 27, 1921 in Hugo, Oklahoma. He passed from this life April 27, 2007 in Paris, Texas at the age of 86 years. Jack served with the Army’s 433rd Field Artillery Battalion as Technician 5th Grade from 1942 until 1946 when he was honorably discharged. In May of 1947, Jack married Martha Lee Mickel.
He was a contractor for Union Local 2232 as a Millwright for 20 years. After that Jack operated the Kiamichi Kamp at Messer for 8 years, as well as serving on the school board. Jack was associated with the local congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Rebecca Eden; son, Troy E. Eden; two brothers, Fred & Calvin Eden; four sisters, Gladys Sossaman, Hala Mae Haneline, Ann Brock & Era Rye.
He is survived by his wife, Martha of the home; son, Roger L. Eden & wife, Linda, of Houston, Texas; sister, Geneva Parker of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Michael, Rebecca, Jasa Ray & Callie Renee Eden and two great grandchildren, Jala & Carrington Allen.
