Willie Rae Belcher was born August 12, 1924 at the family home in Ft. Thompson, Oklahoma to Sam Bottos and Nora Bell (Boykin) Smith. She passed from this life November 27, 2016 in Plano, Texas, at the age of 92.

Willie Rae married Delmar Ray Belcher on November 1, 1969 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they shared 40 wonderful years of marriage and made their home in Antlers, Oklahoma. She made many friends during her working years at the Log Cabin Restaurant, Stafford Drug Store and Bell Telephone Company. Granmommie  (as she was lovingly called grandchildren), game shows, old westerns and sports, especially Texas Rangers Baseball. She loved reminiscing with her enthralling stories about the days of covered wagons, no running water or electricity and working as a switchboard operator. She may have been petite in stature, but her family and friends knew the magnitude of her generosity and love. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rattan, Oklahoma.
Willie Rae was preceded in death by her parents: Sam and Nora Smith; her husbands: Ray Belcher, Billy Sam Hendrix and W.  L. Partin; her brothers: Sanford Smith, Clyde Smith, Carl Smith, Wick Smith, Edward "Buck" Smith and Edgar Smith; and her sisters: Larue Sherrin and Elma Lee Martin.

She is survived by her daughter: Bobbie Sue Birchfield and husband, Johnny, of Rattan, Oklahoma; four grandsons: Dale Birchfield and wife, Christie, of Rattan, OK, Neil Birchfield and wife, Michelle, of Rattan, OK, Chris Birchfield and wife, Rebecca, of Rattan, OK, and Tony Birchfield and wife, Misty, of Edmond, OK; ten great-grandchildren: Carleigh Dyer and husband, Tanner, of Ada, OK, Keaton Birchfield, Megan Birchfield, Rachel Birchfield, Cal Birchfield, Ashton Birchfield, Easton Birchfield and Gavin Birchfield, all of Rattan, OK, Lucas Birchfield and Keira Birchfield of Edmond, OK; one brother: Sam Smith and wife, Mary Jo, of Antlers, OK; two sisters: Bobbie Franks and husband, Jack, of Antlers, OK and Velvree "Val" McLaughlin of Los Osos, CA; numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will include Johnny "Dale" Birchfield, Robert "Neil" Birchfield, Christopher Alan Birchfield, Anthony "Tony" Ray Birchfield, Keaton Birchfield, Cal Birchfield, Easton Birchfield, and Gavin Birchfield.

Honorary pallbearers will include Lucas Birchfield, Carleigh Dyer, Megan Birchfield, Rachel Birchfield, Ashton Birchfield, and Keira Birchfield.

Family night will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Burkhart Funeral Service of Antlers. 

Services will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Rattan with Sean Robertson and Brent Franks officiating.

Interment will be held at Antlers City Cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service of Antlers.
