Edith Anderson, 97, of Albion, Oklahoma passed away on March 1, 2014 at her home.
She was born on March 13, 1916 to her parents, Bird and Maude (Pullum) Hill. She married Elvin Anderson and they had three daughters.. She worked for eleven years in housekeeping at the Oklahoma Veterans Center, Talihina, Oklahoma. She enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren. She loved to quilt and made several for her family which they cherish. She also enjoyed sewing for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bird and Maude Hill, husband, Elvin Anderson, daughters; Meta Carol Anderson and Georgia Hicks.
She is survived by her daughter, Dee Curry, grandchildren; Ronnie Armstrong, Patsy McMeans, Pamela Meredith, and Jack Hicks, great grandchildren; Kacie McGee, Justin Meredith, Samantha Copeland, Erin Mulligan, Jaclyn Hicks, Joshua Salinas, Austin McMeans, Karen McMeans, Michael Armstrong, Jennifer De La Paz, special nieces, Louise Byrd, Tina Fink.
Pallbearers for the service will be Ronnie Armstrong, Jack Hicks, Josh Salinas, Justin Meredith, Calvin McGee, Wesley McMeans, Austin Mc Means and Michael Armstrong.
Services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014, 2 p.m. at the Albion First Baptist Church with William Bray and Frank Hillis officiating.Interment will follow at the Albion Cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service, Talihina.
