Judy A. Rush, age 79 of Wanette, OK passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 in Shawnee, OK.
She was born December 28, 1941 in Shawnee, OK to William Henry and Lena Mae (Litton) Brown.
Judy was born and raised in Shawnee and has lived in Wanette for the last 61 years.
She graduated from Shawnee High School with the class of 1959.
Judy married Terry Rush in Shawnee on May 6, 1960.
She was the owner/operator of Rush Propane, Rush Insurance Company, and operated the Tag Agency.
Judy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wanette where she served as the church Secretary. She volunteered at the Senior Center and for Flag Day. Judy would help anyone who needed it. She enjoyed playing the piano and loved watching her grandchildren play ball.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents; 1 sister, Janice Spears; and 1 brother, David Brown.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Terry Rush; daughter, Tari Ann and Scott Dubler of Wanette; sons, Steve and Melanie Rush of Madill and Greg Rush and P. J. Howard of Wanette; grandchildren, Caleb and Emily Dubler, Tarin Dubler, Branton and Melissa Rush, Stephanie and Aaron Henson, Rusty and Kendra Rush, Terrell Rush, William Rush, Wesley Rush and Adam Rush; great grandchildren Andrea Rush, Blayton Rush, Rylie Rush, Kelcie Rush, Hattie Henson and Atlee Henson and 1 on the way, Jackson Scott Dubler; sister, Mary Sue Mullendore; sister-in-law, Sharon Brown; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Cooper Funeral Homes Wanette Chapel with the family accepting visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 at Wanette First Baptist Church with Pastor Clyde Lindsey of Wanette First Baptist Church and Reverend Randy Golden officiating. Burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
