Lois Caroline (Fiegel) Parsons, 96, of Wanette, Oklahoma, passed from this life Saturday, February 15, 2020, at her home.
She was born March 22, 1923, to Jacob and Olive (Holcomb) Fiegel in Chaney, Oklahoma.
Lois spent her childhood on the family farm. She loved school and after graduating high school left for college where she met the love of her life, Travers “T.L.” Parsons. They were married for 69 years until his passing in 2010; a life filled with love and a beautiful example for their family.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Wanette for 68 years, serving faithfully in many ministries, including organist, pianist, VBS Director, Sunday school teacher, and WMU, also crocheting hats to donate to hospitals and missions. Lois was an excellent cook and skilled seamstress, and loved camping vacations with family and friends. She was funny, strong, and kind and showed us all that faith and family were first.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Travers “T.L.” Parsons; her parents, Jacob and Olive Fiegel; brother, John Fiegel; 2 sisters, Helen Casey and Lucille Nine; and grandson Jaye Gibson.
Those left to cherish her memories are 4 loving daughters and 3 sons-in-law, Sheryl and Dan Smith of Denver, CO, Lynette and Scott Davis of Bentonville, AR, Joyce and J.D. Gibson of Tulsa, OK and Lori Lambert of Wanette, OK; loving son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Lynn Parsons of Coolidge, AZ; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Cooper Funeral Home Wanette Chapel with family gathering from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to greet friends and family. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 20, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Wanette with Pastor J.D. Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
