Pauls Valley Oklahoma — Bethel "Bernice" Neal Atchley Page was born February 29, 1920 in Konawa, Oklahoma to James Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Eades Neal. She was one of 10 children born to this couple.
Bernice passed from this life April 12, 2012 at the age of 92 years at the home of a daughter in Wynnewood, Oklahoma surrounded by her loving family. She will be greatly missed.
Most of her life has been spent in Wanette, Oklahoma.
She married Felix "Phil" Atchley on September 10, 1937. Children from this union are Tom Atchley, Jean Atchley Howland, Doyle Atchley, Wilda Atchley Hobson, Ruby Atchley Wheeler and Shirley Atchley Lehrman.
Phil passed away on September 17, 1965 after being ill for over two years and requiring total care. Bernice was his loving caregiver. In 1983 she married Ralph Page who passed away in 1985.
Bernice was preceded in death by both parents, four sisters, one brother who was stillborn, two husbands, Felix Atchley and Ralph Page, one son, Doyle Atchley, one great-grandson, Taylor Sanders and one son-in-law, Shorty Hobson.
Survivors include her children, Tom Atchley and wife Glenda of Wanette, Oklahoma, Jean Howland and husband Cliff of Topeka, Kansas, Wilda Hobson of Wynnewood, Oklahoma, Ruby Wheeler of Ada, Oklahoma and Shirley Lehrman and husband Bruce of Cookson, Oklahoma, brothers, James Neal of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Doyle Neal of Seminole, Oklahoma, Glen Neal of Salinas, California and Kenneth Neal of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, also numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren as well as many other family and friends.
Funeral services for Bernice Atchley Page are scheduled for Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel in Pauls Valley with Rev. Randy Golden.
Interment will be in Wanette Cemetery, Wanette, Oklahoma.
