Rita Rose Marler Keesee, age 54 of McLoud, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Midwest Regional Medical Center.
She was born September 17, 1959 in Lexington, Oklahoma.
Rita was the 2nd of four children born to Lesley Dwayne Marler and Thelma Rea Henderson Marler.
She grew up in south Oklahoma City and graduated from S.E. High School in 1977. A few years later she met and married the love of her life, Donald Eugene Keesee of Wanette. They were married on June 9, 1984 in Oklahoma City and soon moved to McLoud where they have been living for the past 26 years. Rita was a wonderful wife and mother. She worked hard taking care of her home and raising her two children, Donnell and Cody. Later after she became a grandmother, she enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren. Rita loved her family and enjoyed being a part of family get-togethers. She especially liked to go camping, cooking out and spending time visiting around the campfire. She also enjoyed 4-wheeling with the kids and grandkids.
She was a member of the Church of the Firstborn in south Oklahoma City. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwayne and Rea Marler and one sister, Julia Melton.
She is survived by her husband, Don Keesee of the home in McLoud; daughter, Donnell Koster and husband Chad of Tecumseh; son, Cody Keesee and wife Bobi of McLoud; sister, Denise Love and husband Gary of Yukon; brother, Lesley Marler Jr. and wife Linda of Choctaw; six grandchildren: Skyler, Austin, Caitlin, Chase, Braxton and Brooklyn; sister-in-law, Sherrie Foreman and husband Mark of Wanette; brother-in-law, Tim Melton of Lowell, Oregon; mother and father-in-law, Gayle and Alfred Keesee of Wanette; also many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell.
Interment will be at the Wanette Cemetery in Wanette, Oklahoma.
