Kimberly D. Holman, age 60, of Asher, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma on March 16, 1963.
Kimberly was raised on the family farm in Asher, Oklahoma.
She graduated from Asher Highschool in 1981, then attended ECU, where she received her Bachelor of Education, and 2 master’s degrees in education.
Kimberly married Ron Holman on November 26, 1985 in Shawnee, Oklahoma
She taught for 29 years beginning at Tecumseh, then at South Rock Creek. She completed her career at Asher Public Schools before retiring in the spring of 2020. She had a passion for teaching and touched the lives of many.
Kimberly was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Spending time with her granddaughter Anna was one of her favorite things. Kimberly also enjoyed caring for her dogs and the other animals on the farm. A few favorite past times were scrapbooking and reading a good book.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hal and Loretta Owen and Mervin and Leota Bowen.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ron Holman of the home; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Corey and Caylie Holman of Asher, OK; granddaughter, Anna Holman, of Asher, OK; her parents, Murl and Reta Bowen of Asher, OK; and many loving friends and extended family.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2024 with family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., to greet friends and family at Cooper Funeral Home. Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Reverend Clint Bryant, Tecumseh First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
