Barbara Ann Beets

Barbara Ann Beets (Aunt Bobbie) age 75 of Stratford passed away on April 28, 2023, in Shawnee, OK. Barbara was born on September 13, 1947, in Byars, OK to Ralph Alvin Beets and Iness Beets (Moody). She grew up in the area and attended school there. Barbara got her training at a young age and became an electrician. In her late 20s she joined the United States Air Force where she served her country proudly for 2 years in the early 1970s. After her time in the service Barbara made her home in Florida for over 20 years and met the love of her life Kathy Schor. She loved the warm weather, fishing, and spending time in the sand. In the early 90s, Barbara came back to Oklahoma and settled in Wanette, which she called home for many years. She loved to read, crochet, and never passed up a chance to go to the casino or hold a baby. Barbara treasured time with her family and enjoyed beating them in cards and dominos whenever they played. She was a beloved sister, aunt, grandma, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Iness Beets, her sister Judy Austin, and brother Edward Beets. Nephews Alvin Austin and Richard Austin and niece Vickie Simmons (Austin).

She is survived by her siblings Reba Jane Eddlemon (Beets), Charles Beets and wife Mary, Nieces and Nephews Dennis Austin, Karla Beatty (Austin) , Sherry Lowe, Catherine Taylor (Beets), Carol Pierce Austin, Charles Beets II, Evelyn Pardue (Beets), and Granddaughter MaKayla Raeann Davis, 13 Great nieces and nephews, and too many to count Great Great Nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled or 2:00 pm Thursday May 4th, 2023, at Little's Chapel, Wilson-Little Purcell, with burial to follow in Wanette Cemetery. Send online condolences at www.wilsonlittle.com
