Stroud resident LaDawna Miles Pennock, 37, departed this life on Saturday, July 30, north of Stroud.

She was born July 17, 1968, in Cushing to Joe Bailey and Karen Ellis Miles.

She grew up in Cushing.

She was married May 20, 1994, in Oklahoma City to Richard Pennock.

LaDawna received her GED in 1984 and was pursuing her RN degree. She was a LPN and worked for the Sac and Fox Blackhawk Clinic in Stroud for two years.

She was a member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe and the First Indian Baptist Church in Cushing. She was baptized in Shawnee.

She enjoyed spending time with her family; attending her children's sports and watching her daughter at cheerleading. LaDawna was their #1 cheerleader. She also enjoyed being with her parents, cooking and making everyone laugh. She was very fun to be around.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandfather, Ed Franklin.

Survivors include her husband, Richard of the home; sons, Leo Martinez and Shane and Casey Pennock, all of the home; daughters, Nikki and Jenny Pennock of the home; brother and sister-in-law, Randall and Sharon Tiger of Pawnee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Carlos Zuniga of Cushing, Staci Juneau of Cushing and Traci and Justin Moran of Cushing; parents, Royce and Karen Juneau of Cushing; grandmother, Lorena Franklin of Cushing; aunts, Carol Littlehead and husband, Cecil of Shawnee; Sharon Franklin of Cushing; and Marilyn Thurman of Shawnee; uncles, Marvin Thurman and George Thurman, both of Shawnee; many nieces, nephews and cousins as well as numerous friends.

Wake service was held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, at the First Indian Baptist Church with Duane Pratt presiding.

Service will be 10:00 a.m. today at the First Indian Baptist Church, 1200 E. Walnut in Cushing.

Burial will follow at the Wakolee cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Palmer and Marler Funeral Home of Cushing.
