PATRICK JOSEPH DOLAN

November 22, 1946 - October 21, 2017

Patrick Dolan, age 70 of Asher, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017, at the VA Medical Center in Okla. City. Patrick Joseph Dolan was born November 22, 1946 in El Paso, Texas, 1 of 4 children born to Bill and Gwen Dolan. He was raised in El Paso and attended school there, graduating in 1965. Later that same year, Patrick answered the call to serve his country, and joined the United States Navy. He served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He was awarded both the Purple Heart and A Bronze Star for his valor in combat. After the war, he returned to the states and made his home in California, eventually settling in Oklahoma. Patrick worked as butcher and meat cutter for many years. It was his work that introduced him to the love of his life. On November 29, 1983, Patrick married Julie Ann Griffith in Okla. City, and they made their home there. Patrick longed for the country life and his heart was on the farm, so he and Julie packed up and moved to Asher. In his younger years, Patrick’s passion was fast cars, but he traded them in for horses. He was a family man; a hard worker and a great provider for his family. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a true friend.

He was preceded in death by: His parents, Bill & Gwen Dolan and Two Brothers, John Dolan and Bill Dolan.

Patrick is survived by: His wife Julie of the home; 4 sons, Robert Dolan and wife Nicole of Yukon, Shaun Dolan of OKC, Chris Dolan and wife Lori of Ada and Waylon Ryburn of OKC; Sister, Lois Briggs of Tucson, AZ; 6 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Vista Cemetery near Asher.
