William G. “Bill” Wiemers passed away on Oct. 16, 2020. He was born on Feb. 1, 1923 in Hondo, Texas. He graduated from Bandera High School, then went to work for Kelly AFB in San Antonio, Texas. After the start of WWII, he was in a civilian detachment that was sent to England in Sept. 1942. Then, he entered the US Marine Corps in 1944. In the Marines, he served in Okinawa and China, and was discharged in 1946. He moved to Oklahoma to work at Tinker AFB. He married Dolores Teas in April 1949. He retired from Tinker in Jan. 1979. He enjoyed spending time with his family and woodworking. Bill and Dolores attended Meadowood Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Dolores; daughter, Diane Foust and husband Ed; grandson, Kyle Foust and wife Leann; great-granddaughters, Raegan and Olivia; brother, Curtis Wiemers and wife Peggy; and sister, Kathleen Riggs and husband Harry. Visitation will be from 10-4 Tues., Oct. 20, 2020 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City. Graveside services will be at 11am Wed., Oct. 21, 2020 at Tecumseh Cemetery.
