Venita “Nana” Darlene (Cosper) Spoon, 62, resident of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Friday, January 18, 2019 in Tecumseh.
She was born December 23, 1956 in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Lilburn and Darla (Melton) Cosper. She attended Mustang Public schools.
Venita lived in Tecumseh and worked as a CNA for Loving Care Home Health and Hospice for many years. She had a passion for caring for her patients.
She was a very active member of the Living Love Christian Center and served as a Sunday Children’s church leader and Wednesday night Missionette leader. She enjoyed reading and gardening and being a part of her grandchildren’s activities
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Keith and Francis Melton and Lloyd and Mary Cosper, mother, Darla Cosper.
Those left to cherish her memory are 3 daughters and son-in-law, Cristi and Barry Naples, of Shawnee, Kara Arnett of Shawnee, April Self of Tecumseh; son and daughter-in-law , Joel and Stephanie Spoon of Macomb; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grand child; father, Lilburn Cosper; sisters, Gloria Elmore and Jeanne Jones, brother, Jerry Cosper; and other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2019 and continue Wednesday through service time. Service will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Living Love Christian Center with Pastor Mark Guinn officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
