Dorothy was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was generous and loving and was a great encourager for others. She always looked for the best in people and especially enjoyed family gatherings. Some of her favorite activities were having garage sales, going to Sam's Wholesale Club, and going out to eat with her family to Cracker Barrel, according to her, the best place to eat in the world! Besides the many family activities that she attended, she enjoyed sewing quilts of various designs. She sold some of the quilts and gave others to family members and friends. A scripture that describes Dorothy is Proverbs 31:27-30 "She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and bless her; her husband also, and he praises her saying: Many daughters have done nobly, but you excel them all." Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised."
