Patsy Ruth Moore, age 85, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
She was born June 6, 1939 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to George and Gladys (Prater) Blue.
Pat spent her childhood moving from Oklahoma to California and back several times. She had a love for school and anything accounting. She ultimately graduated from Shawnee High School in 1957.
She met the love of her life, Bob Moore, her senior year of high school at a local drugstore where they both worked. After a first date to the local dance, they were inseparable and married August 10, 1957 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
After graduation, Bob joined the Army and was stationed in Germany. Pat joined him soon after and they welcomed their oldest daughter there. Upon returning home, they continued to grow their family and build a future. Pat worked for many years as a bookkeeper and tax preparer. Together they owned and operated Pat's Coin-O-Matic and she helped her husband Bob start his State Farm Insurance Agency in Tecumseh. They were married for 54 years until Bob passed in 2011.
Pat's passion after retirement was quilting and blessing the ones she loved with her beautiful pieces of art. She also enjoyed traveling. Bob took her on many trips, but her best memories were road trips to visit children and grandchildren. She traveled with her sisters to Branson, all over the state to participate in the Oklahoma Shop Hop for quilters, but two of her favorite trips were to Barbados and Hawaii with her two daughters. She loved watching the OU Sooners or anything her grandchildren were involved in. Her most recent love was for the game of baseball and the Texas Rangers.
Pat was a member of the Tecumseh First Baptist Church. She was a light for the Lord, always making sure that her family and friends had God in their lives and that they were listening to what He had in store for them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gladys Blue; husband, Bob Moore; and sister, Debra Jackson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters and sons-in-laws, Rhonda and Bob Porro, of Peoria, AZ and Tamela and Rob Haugh, of El Reno, OK; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Desiree Moore, of Shawnee, OK; sister, Phyllis and husband Tom Flora, of Shawnee, OK; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Williams, Jennifer Cropp, Brian Krausse, Jessica McLaughlin, Erich Krausse, Jarod Krausse, Abbye Porro, and Sam Moore and nine great- grandchild; many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
A special thank you to Heartland Hospice and Steve and Desiree Moore for caring for Pat in their home until she went to meet her savior.
