Donna Faye Maxon

Donna Faye Maxon, age 61, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 at her home in Tecumseh, Oklahoma.

Donna was born January 21, 1963 in Santa Cruz, California, to Buford and Jean Smith.

She was raised in Okemah and graduated from Okemah High School in 1981.

John and Donna met in June of 1981 at Tiger Mountain Church Camp. After dating for 10 months, she married the love of her life, on April 02, 1982 in Okemah, Oklahoma. They would have celebrated 42 years of marriage on April 2 of this year.

She has worked as a secretary at the Evangelistic Center, as an accountant with H&R Block, and was a day care teacher at First Christian Church in Shawnee and at a day care in Tecumseh.

Donna enjoyed spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, and many activities with her daughter Sarah. She loved her cats Asher and Pickles. She loved cheering on the OSU Cowboys.

She is preceded in death by; her parents, her daughter, Sarah; her mother and father in-law, JD and Betty Maxon; her brothers-in-law, David Maxon and Mike Nichols; and her great niece, Zorah Wright.

Donna is survived by; husband John Maxon of the home; son, Michael Maxon of Shawnee; grandson, Jordan (Sam) Maxon of Earlsboro; granddaughter, Chelsea Coleman of Shawnee; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Karter Maxon of Earlsboro; sister, Linda (Clifton) Davis; sister, Vickie Nichols; many brothers and sisters in-laws, several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Cooper Funeral Home.Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2024 at Tecumseh Pentecostal Church of God; 210 West Washington St,; Tecumseh, Oklahoma; with Noah Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
