He was born July 7, 1929 in Asher to Earl C. and Mamie L (Dowell) Henry.
Stanley was born and raised in Asher. He attended Asher High School and graduated with the class of 1947. Stanley lived in the Moore area most of his life.
He married Anoma Katherine Haney on June 17, 1950 in Shawnee. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2006.
Stanley proudly served his country in the United States Army.
After his military service he worked at Tinker Air Force Base. He then went to work for the FAA and retired from there as a Systems Analyst.
Stanley loved fishing, water skiing, and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; 1 daughter, Janet Kay Henry; and 1 sister, Iva Jean Taylor.
Stanley is survived by 1 daughter, Sherry and Kenneth Gage of Ft. Collins, CO; 1 son, Steve and Linda Henry of Springfield, VA; grandsons, John Gage, Joseph Henry, and David Henry; great grandchildren, Jon, Sophia, Samantha, Sabrina, Joi and Jak; and many other family and friends.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 and continue through service time. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
