Billie Ruth (Boggs) Devaill, age 80 of Tecumseh, passed away Sunday February 18, 2018 in Tecumseh. She was born March 30, 1937 in a farm house in Harmon County, Oklahoma to R. C. and Estelle (Corbitt) Boggs. Billie grew up in Southwestern Oklahoma. She has been a resident of Tecumseh for 38 years.
She graduated from Crooked Oak High School.
Billie married Billy L. Devaill on December 5, 1969 in Oklahoma City. She was a Nurse’s Aide at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman for 22 years before retiring.
Billie enjoyed fishing, reading books, gardening, and making jewelry. She was an extremely loving, caring person who loved and cherished her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Tommie Jo Starr, Romona Elaine Boggs and Jessie Louetta Powers; brothers, Eddie Boggs, Richard Boggs and Perry Boggs; nieces, DeeDee Boggs, Louetta Nail and Karen Powers; and nephews, Jerry Mark Boggs, Billy Powers and Steven Cornelius.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Billy L. Devaill; children, Ricky Joe Hambay, Theresa Ruth White and Roger Alex Hambay; grandchildren, Ricky Joe Hambay, Jr., Jacquie Lea White, David Scott White and Kyla Dawn Dunn; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Dawn Gutierrez, Hailey Ann White, Ashleigh Page White, David Bryson Dunn, Mason Blake Dunn and Tara Nicole Dunn; great great grandchildren, Luke Gutierrez and Landon Gutierrez; brothers, Jerry H. Boggs and Harold Dean Boggs; sisters, Katie B. Cornelius and Peggy Lynn Willhoite; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Visitation will begin 12:00 Noon on Thursday, February 22, 2018 and continue through service time. Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home with Chaplain Jeff Chalakani of Carter Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
