Richard G. Armstrong, 56, lifelong resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in Oklahoma City.
He was born July 20, 1962 to Marvin and Wanda (Burgess) Armstrong in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
Richard was raised in Shawnee and attended Shawnee Public Schools graduating with the class of 1980 from Shawnee High School.
He worked for many years at TDK and retired then worked at OBU before going to work at Shawnee Mall in maintenance where he has worked the past 10 plus years.
Richard loved going on adventures to different places and enjoyed mowing lawns and helping others.
He was preceded in death his parents, Marvin and Wanda Armstrong.
Survivors include his sister, Marla Plunkett; 2 brothers and 1 sister-in-law, Greg Armstrong and Gary and Kelly Armstrong; many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2019 and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2019. Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2019 at Tecumseh Cemetery with Reverend Mike Craig, Temple Baptist Church officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
