Diane Elaine {Hollingsworth} Althouse

Diane Elaine {Hollingsworth} Althouse, born in 1949, passed from this life, at the age of 45, on April 19, 1995.

An employee of the HUD Administration, Diane was one of the many beloved individuals who passed on in the explosion of the Alfred P. Murrah Building.

Diane grew up in Shawnee, Oklahoma, graduated from Shawnee High School, and was a former member of St . Benedict Catholic Church, Shawnee. An active member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church of Edmond, Diane was a Benedictine Oblate Novice at Saint Gregory's Abbey, Shawnee, and was due to receive her permanent vows on April 23, 1995.

Surviving family includes a daughter and son-in-law, Athena and Edward Roy of Oklahoma City; a son, Aarion Althouse of Jacksonville, North Carolina; granddaughter, Stephanie Roy of Oklahoma City; parents, James and Dorothy Hollingsworth of Shawnee, Oklahoma; siblings, Teresa Lee and Philomena Hollingsworth of Tulsa; Daniel Hollingsworth of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Timothy Hollingsworth of Chicago; Michael Hollingsworth of Dale, Oklahoma; and Stephen Hollingsworth of Cody, Wyoming.

A memorial wake and rosary was held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 26 at St . Benedict Catholic Church, Shawnee.

Mass of Christian Burial was 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 27, at St . Benedict's.

Father Michael Roethler, O.S.B., celebrant.

Burial St . Gregory's Abbey Cemetery.

In loving memory of Diane, her family offers their prayers to all those touched by this tragedy. The family asks that memorial donations be made to St . Gregory's Abbey or to the Disaster Relief Fund.

Services under the direction of Roesch Funeral Chapel, Shawnee.
