Johnny Bret Smith, 57, of Tecumseh, OK, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on June 27, 1960, in Wewoka, OK, to Edmond and Ester (Davis) Smith.
Johnny attended New Lima High School and graduated in 1978. He moved to the Shawnee area several years ago. Johnny married Denise Lackey on November 3, 2002. Johnny work for the Pott County District 1 for 14 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time in his tractor. But he mostly enjoyed his two grandchildren; Case and Lynnlee who could always put a big smile on Johnny's face. Johnny along with Denise and their son Jacob started JNJ Transportation LLC, in March, 2016.
Johnny is survived by his parents of Wewoka; wife of their home; father-in-law, Roy Silas; brother, Bart Smith and sister, Debbie Hendrix both of Wewoka; son, Jacob (Jake) and wife Tiffany Lackey; grandson, Case Lackey; granddaughter Lynnlee Lackey; sons, Bret and his wife Brandee Smith and Greg and his wife Kim Smith, all of Shawnee; grandchildren, Layla, Atticus, Molly, Aubrey, Sullivan, all of Shawnee; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at 8:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Resthaven Funeral Home followed with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park.
