Sue is preceded in death by her parents Frank Burleson and Alma Crinshaw; her brother Glenn Burleson; and her son Richard Russell.

Sue is survived by her daughter Karen Hammon; her daughter Rosetta Russell; her sister Barbara Sharp; grandchildren Daniel Criss, Amanda Criss, Daniel Sanderson, Deanna Kano, Wesley Kano, Brian Russell, and Heather Danielle Russell; great grandchildren Jaden Criss, Zoe Criss, Lindsey Criss, Addison Criss, and Araya Criss; and niece Darlene Elliott.

Sue grew up in Hobbs, New Mexico. She went on to be a Silversmith, work for Amway, become a Photographer, Assessed Mines, became an Ambulance Runner (graduating top of her class), a Cosmetologist, the first female Pit Boss in Las Vegas, an Accomplished Painter, and a Musician. Sue played the acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and bass. Sue made her own clothes for the longest time, especially her Western Wear accessories such as her boots, belts, and hats. Sue loved to go camping, the Dallas Cowboys, being outdoors, and the mountains.

Sue was very successful in whatever she did and always went the extra mile. If you ever told Sue that she could not do something, she would do it, just to prove you wrong. She was a true trailblazer and will be dearly missed.
