Funeral service for Gerald Moore, 85, of Enid, will be Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park, Shawnee.
Gerald was born on May 29, 1935, in Savannah, Texas, to Gorman and Rhea Beacham Moore and died on November 21, 2020, in Enid.
He graduated from Bethel High School and worked in the oilfield until 1956. Gerald served in the U.S. Army from 1956 until 1958. Following his discharge, he went back to the oilfield. On August 12, 1966, Gerald married Hazel Inez Broughton in Longview, Texas, and they moved to Enid in the 1970s. Gerald owned and operated Tamco, Inc., BM Energy, KT Energy, and Himco Oil & Gas, all in Hennessey. Gerald was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez; son, Terry; parents; stepdaughter, Cindy; a brother, Charles; and a sister, Gorma.
He is survived by his stepson, Steve Richardson; daughter-in-law, Shari Moore-Siegersma and her husband Darren; five grandchildren, Trent, Kristen, Kevin, Jordyn, and Presley; four great-grandchildren; brother and his wife, Don and Mary Ann Moore; other relatives and friends.
