Carolyn “Sue” Sears, 73, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, December 06, 2018 in Tecumseh.
She was born May 7, 1945 to Marvin Norman “Red” and Della (Elliot) Anderson in Bakersfield, California.
Sue was raised in the McLoud and Shawnee Areas. She graduated in 1964 with the last graduating class from St. Benedicts High School.
She married Marvene Sears on June 26, 1971 in Dale, Oklahoma.
Sue worked as a beauty operator at P.K. & Friends for many years. She was an avid volunteer for the Tecumseh Schools Athletic Boosters for 32 years and helping the kids in the community was the highlight of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin “Red” and Della Anderson; 2 brothers, Geno Anderson and Johnny Anderson; and sister, Janie Anderson Robinson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Marvene Sears of the home; 2 sons, Fred Sears of Tecumseh, OK and Mike and LaShawna Sears of Bethel Acres, OK; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters and 1 brother-in-law, Marilyn and Gary Van Ticer of Garland, TX, Norma Anderson of Shawnee, OK and Wanda Anderson of Shawnee, OK; and many loving friends and extended family.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 10, 2018 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Marty Shirey, Full Circle Church, Shawnee, OK officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
