Bobby Gene Roselius, Mno mikas (Good Path), age 68, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in his recliner with his two favorite pups in his lap on Thursday, July 6, 2023 in Choctaw, Oklahoma.
He was born Monday, December 13, 1954 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Jack Orville and Bette Jean (Cooper) Roselius and the youngest of four brothers. A member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, he was a descendent of the Vieux family and proud of his heritage. He married the love of his life, Ilene Sue Sulivant, in Oklahoma City, OK on September 3, 1981.
Bobby "Ish" was born in Shawnee, OK and grew up in Macomb, OK. He always wore a smile and had a one-liner up his sleeve for any occasion. He loved to laugh with his friends and family and a nickname for all of them. He always made it known just how much he loved his family - both with his words and his actions. Bobby was a “jack of all trades” and master of many. He built the backyard of his dreams in 2020 with the hopes of bringing everyone together. He was always working on equipment or cars, loved mowing the lawn, listening to music, and DIY projects. He enjoyed watching sports, both in person and on the big screen. Bobby was a Sooner through and through - "Boomer Sooner!" He was a diesel mechanic by trade, including for his entire family. He took pride in his work, no matter how small the task, as "anything worth doing is worth doing right."
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Bette and brothers, Larry (Rooster), Charles (Mouse), and Connie (Kisses).
Bobby is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Sue Roselius; daughter, Kassi Sexton, MD, MPH and husband Nate Sexton of Choctaw; son, Austen Roselius, MD, JD and wife Katherine Roselius, MD with a grandson due in October, Griffin Gene Roselius; sisters-in-law, Susie Roselius and Charlsey Jabri; brother-in-law Jerry Jabri; father-in-law, CJ “Pops” Sulivant; cousins, Judy Monroe, Peggy Ruggeri, and Ronnie Roselius; and many loved nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
