Karlena “Suzie” Hinesley, 50, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at her home.
She was born January 31, 1971 to Joseph and Mary Karlena (Jones) Cruz in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Suzie was raised in Macomb and attended Macomb Public Schools. She lived most of her adult life in the Shawnee area.
She married Charles Arlan Hinesley on March 23, 2013 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Suzie worked as a caretaker for her family and at Walmart for a time.
She enjoyed going on car rides and trips, especially to Branson her favorite place to go, raising plants, fishing, and giving her husband a hard time. Suzie loved her family and grandbaby.
She was preceded in death her grandson, Robert Louis Annanders; her mother, Karlena Cruz; brother, Joe Cruz; and numerous grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles Hinesley of the home; daughter, Jessica Cruz; stepson, Blake Hinesley; granddaughter, Grace Lawrence; father, Joe Cruz and Debbie; sisters, Cristin Cruz and sister-in-law, April Cruz, Barbara Annanders and Misty Pendergraft; brother, Richard Pendergraft; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 20, 2022 and continue through service time. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2022 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ken Kerbo, C3 Cross Connection Church officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery in Macomb, OK under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
