Frank Weatherley, 87, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at his home.
He was born February 8, 1933 to Thomas and Minnie (Mayher) Weatherley in Des Arc, Arkansas. Frank was raised in Des Arc, Arkansas. He married Elizabeth Marie Flemming on January 7, 1950 in Des Arc, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on July 29, 2005. After marriage he moved to Illinois, then back to Arkansas until moving to Shawnee in 1967 where he made his home.
He held many occupations during his career, including owning and operating his own appliance repair company and commercial laundry maintenance. Frank loved woodworking. He enjoyed music and was accomplished at playing the guitar, mandolin, fiddle banjo and harmonica.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Weatherley; his parents; 2 sons, Franklin M. Weatherley and Wayne S. Weatherley; 1 sister, Wanda Lou Yarbrough; and 3 brothers, Pete, Jack and Tommy Weatherley.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Pamela and Richard Lucas of Meeker, OK and Patricia Weatherley of Jones, OK; 1 son, David Weatherly of Tecumseh, OK; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Patsy Morris and Betty Sue Stirnaman; and companion of 10 years, Veronica Schalk; and other extended family and friends.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 20, 2020 at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker, OK under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
