Iva Mae Crownover Kidney

Tecumseh resident Iva Mae Crownover Kidney died Saturday in Tecumseh at the age of 88.
Mrs. Kidney was born July 31, 1909, in Paden, to Allen and Lucy (Hammack) Crownover. She attended Twin Oaks in Seminole County and Grove School in Pottawatomie County.
She married Mark V. Kidney on April 15, 1931, in Macomb.
Mrs. Kidney was a homemaker. She had been a member of New Hope Baptist Church for 34 years and was a current member of the First Baptist Church of Tecumseh.
Survivors include eight children and their spouses, Jean Hess, Shirley Craig, C.A. and Marie Kidney, Wanda Craig, Tandy and Rose Kidney, and Van and Margaret Kidney, all of Tecumseh, Fontella and Carl Williams of Franklin, Tenn., and Dan and Susan Kidney of Lexington; brothers and sisters, Arthur Crownover of Edmond, Arlie Crownover of Idaho, Luna Donnahue of Texas, Francis Reddig of Shawnee and Clifton Crownover of Texas; 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 30, 1976; a son, Buddy Kidney; a sister, Lena Smith; and brothers, Troy, Cleo and Roy Crownover. Memorials may be made to the Mission Hospice, 7301 N. Broadway No. 225, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh with the Rev. Danny Kidney officiating, assisted by Bill Roberts. Burial will be at New Hope Cemetery.
