Meeker resident, Glenn Alton Davis, was born February 28, 1944 in Macomb, Oklahoma to William (Pete) Alton Davis and Laura Bell Barnett. He went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 2, 2017.

Glenn graduated from Shawnee High School in 1962. During his senior year, he joined the United States Navy. After his second year in the Navy, he was an E5 Radioman, and was sent to Vietnam. Glenn was very proud of serving his country.

When he returned, Glenn married Carylon Sue Burchette on September 6, 1968 and they were blessed with four children.

Glenn worked at Xerox for over 8 years, and then ran into Elvin Charles Degraffenreid, a high school friend. He said, "Let's build Sonic Drive-In's", and they did. Glenn, Carylon, and their children moved to 20 acres in Meeker.

Glenn was diagnosed with cancer and the doctor's gave him 3 – 6 months to live. It was a miracle that he lived, and went on to work at Eaton, retiring after 19 years. After retiring, he built a brand new home in town. Glenn spent his days hanging out at the Senior Citizen Center and loved to put puzzles together and hang out with his friends.

He was a proud member of Meeker Assembly of God for over 38 years. He loved his church family and enjoyed helping with his wife's Sunday School Class. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harrol Davis.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carylon Davis; children, Rick and wife Lisa, Terri and husband Jeff, Christopher and wife Judith, and Anthony and Tammy; grandchildren, Braiden, Leslie, John Luke, Baylee, William, Bryce, Jeffery, Callie, and Emma Leigh; great grandbaby, Eleanor Bell; sister, Charlene Davis-Partain; as well as a host of other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests from 5pm-8pm Friday, January 6 at Resthaven Funeral Home. Viewing will continue 10am Saturday at Meeker Assembly of God. Services will be 2pm Saturday, January 7 at Meeker Assembly of God with Pastor William Forman and Pastor Paul Calmes officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.
