LEE WARD
1926 - 1997


Shawnee resident Lee Ward died Tuesday at her home. She was 71.
Mrs. Ward was born May 29, 1926, in Purcell to Dan and Ruby Hawkins.
She attended School in Red Oak, Oklahoma and lived in Shawnee since the mid 1960s.
She was a retired home health giver.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James D. and Carol Wells of Shawnee; two daughters, Ruby Phillips and Lissa Reed, both of Shawnee; two brothers, Charles Hopkins of Okay, Oklahoma; John Hawkins of Graham, Texas; three sisters, Jeanne Riley of Norman; Ruby Shuman of Gordonville, Texas; Susan Martin of Irving, Texas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joe Hopkins and a grandson, Danny Dyer.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Phil Ratliff officiating.
Burial will be at Neal Cemetery.
