RAYMOND TREAT
1929 - 2016


Raymond Treat, 87, lifelong resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Tecumseh.
He was born January 21, 1929 to William Riley and Amanda Bell Blakely Treat in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Raymond was raised in Shawnee and attended Dale Public Schools.
He married Lavanda Nell Herndon on July 1, 1985 in Texas.
Raymond worked in the oilfields in western Oklahoma.
He was also a home builder and a machinist and owned and operated Treat Metal Stamping.
Raymond was a member of South Rock Creek Baptist Church.
He loved gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and three sisters.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Lavanda Treat of the home; son, David and Jennie Treat; two daughters and one son-in-law, Terri Hale Treat and Paula and Paul Spess; two step-sons, Clyde Hudgins and Larry and Deena Hudgins; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerus nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Tecumseh Cemetery with Kenneth Branson officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
