LUTHER T. TRAMMELL
1939 - 2012


Luther Thomas Trammell, 72, of Bethel Acres, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2012, in Oklahoma City.
He was born December 5, 1939, in Romulus to Alvis and Elsie Long Trammell.
Luther was a graduate of Macomb High School where he was active in FFA and band.
He married Nadine Stephens on August 21, 1962, in Purcell. Following their marriage, they began to raise their family in the Shawnee and Bethel area, where he has since lived.
Luther was a produce supervisor at Pratt's Grocery store and a produce manager at Hardesty Grocery and Homeland. He also was the custodian at Bethel Acres Assembly Church.
He was also a member and board member at Bethel Acres Assembly Church.
He loved to play country music and would play with anyone that asked him to. Luther has been playing at church the last fourteen years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his dog "Lover Boy."
Luther was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Bill and A. D. Trammell.
Survivors include his wife Nadine of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Doug Lash of Santa Rosa, California; and Vickie and Billy Brimm Sr. of Bethel; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Tonya Brookover of Tecumseh; and Darrell W. and Brenda Trammell of Porum; two sisters, Peggy Stephens of Tecumseh; and Dorothy Jeppe of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many friends and other family members.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 6, and continue through service time. The family will gather to meet with friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, May 6, at Cooper Funeral Home.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 7, at Bethel Acres Assembly with Brother Larry Townsend, Brother Shelby Townsend and Brother Curtis Mitchell officiating.
Burial will follow at Romulus Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
