KATHRYN SYPERT
1918 - 2011
Kathryn Bray Sypert was born in Newalla, Oklahoma to Emma and Willie Bray on August 8, 1918.She married Harry Sypert, and until his death in 1965, they reared six children together."She broke the bread into fragments and gave them to her children, who ate with avidity. "She hath kept none for herself,' grumbled the Sergeant. "Because she is not hungry,' said the soldier. "Because she is a mother,' said the Sergeant." Victor Hugo.Kathryn was a faithful member of the Union Baptist Church. She believed that to be absent from the body was to be present with the Lord.She peacefully departed this life on August 2, 2011, six days shy of her 93rd birthday.Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Sypert; children Joy Elaine, Jerry and Grace Aletha; four brothers and three sisters.To mourn her passing and to forever cherish her loving memory, Kathryn leaves her sons Cleophus {Bonnie} and Harry {Willie Jean, former wife}; daughter Ruth; sister Elizabeth Olsen; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in the Shawnee and Newalla communities.Burial at Brooksville Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
