FRANK RUDELL SWAN
1917 - 2004


Frank Rudell Swan of Oklahoma City passed away July 21, 2004 at the age of 86.
Frank was born November 26, 1917 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Frank and Birdie Swan.
He was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma.
He served overseas in World War II and was separated with rank of Captain in 1946.
Frank married Elizabeth Hallman in September 1949, with whom he had two sons.
He has made banking his career and has been active in numerous banking organizations, serving most recently as Chairman of Board of Sooner State Bank. He served as past president for City National Bank, Bank Marketing Association, Oklahoma County Chapter of American Red Cross, Sirloin Club and Revelers Dance Club.
He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Mens Dinner Club, Mayfair Dance Club and Quail Creek Golf and Country Club.
He was an honorary member of Future Farmers of America and has worked closely with FFA and 4-H Club Junior Livestock Shows and Southwest American Livestock Foundation.
Frank enjoyed a life full of banking, travel, golf and was an avid OU Sooner fan.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth and his second wife, Betty.
He is survived by his wife, Esther; his two sons and their wives, Frank, Jr. and Patricia Swan of Harrah, Oklahoma; and Bradley and Cathy Swan, of Lake Texoma; step daughters, Debbie Wilson, Angie Matthews and Dana Hill; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Ruth Crabbe and Helen Padberg; and many nieces and nephews; as well as numerous friends.
Services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Saturday, July 24 at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
Services under the direction of Hahn-Cook/Street and Draper Funeral Directors, Oklahoma City.
